If you can see yourself pouring the perfect schooner or pint, crafting cocktails, serving delicious food and being central to the guest experience at one of Australia’s leading hospitality groups, then we want to hear from you!

From today, ALH Hotels will commence a drive to recruit nearly 500 new team members from all over the country to help deliver the memorable moments that our guests know and love over the busy summer months ahead.

ALH Hotels Managing Director Paul Walton said team members are the lifeblood of its venues, who make their local pub the number one destination for social occasions.

“There is something very special about the hospitality in Australia and even more special about our local pubs,” he said.

“Whether it’s showcasing the culinary delights Australia has to offer or building that connection to your local community over a beer, the pub has always been a mainstay of Australian culture.”

For those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, there are also plenty of opportunities in our regional hotels.

“Our regional pubs offer a unique work experience, where our team members can enjoy the benefits of working in some of Australia's most scenic areas with the chance to meet new people, develop valuable skills and be a part of close-knit communities,” Mr Walton said.

Queensland is the state with the most openings with 267 roles available at 58 venues, followed by Western Australia, which has 125 roles available at 12 venues, New South Wales has 59 roles available at 13 venues, South Australia has 30 roles available at nine venues, and in Victoria there are 10 roles available at the Rye Hotel on the Mornington Peninsula.

While most of the roles to fill are food and beverage attendants, there are also roles for cooks, chefs and managers.

“We are always looking for assistant managers across our network and at the moment there are more than 50 roles vacant across the country,” he said.

“This is ideal for anyone who wants to step up their career in hospitality and grow their skill set.”

ALH also provides invaluable training that can lead to career progression within the ALH network and across Endeavour Group, which includes brands such as Dan Murphy’s, BWS and Pinnacle Drinks.

The team can access on the job training with industry leaders, access product knowledge and service skill training through the bespoke Small Batch Learning platform and opportunities to accelerate their career with pathways and development programs.

ALH Hotels prides itself on the positive culture within its network thanks to the commitment of its 12,000 strong team.

“Our approach to our team is to come as you are, as we are quite a diverse group,” Mr Walton said.

“We want people to feel comfortable bringing the best version of themselves to work everyday.”
