Sustainability
People
People are central to our purpose and at the heart of everything we do.
We know the culture of care and respect we show our people and suppliers drives better long‑term outcomes for our business and stronger connections in our communities. That’s why we’re committed to building a safe, inclusive and diverse workforce, where individuality is celebrated and personal rights are advocated, every day, for every person.
A safe, inclusive workplace for everyone
Our business is built on brands and venues that bring people together, driven by more than 30,000 team members and thousands more across our supply chain.
As we are in the business of people, we’re focused on prioritising a safe, inclusive, supportive and diverse workforce. One that creates better long-term outcomes for our business and the equally diverse communities we are a part of.
Reconciliation
Reconciliation is an opportunity to live our purpose of creating a more sociable future together. It’s the positive imprint we want to make, and the better future we want to create, together, for all Australians – in our workplaces, with our customers, with our suppliers, at home with our families and in our communities.
We're at the beginning of our reconciliation journey, committed to ongoing listening and learning, from each other and from First Nations peoples with lived experience. This helps us to channel our energy and support into meaningful, clear and measurable reconciliation goals and actions.
Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) sets the foundations for improving cultural competency and inclusion across our business and in our communities, and guides us in building trust, respect and relationships with Indigenous communities and organisations.
Our partnership with Jawun
Partnership and community connection is key to our learning, and helps us create impactful change.
Since 2013, our partnership with the Jawun Indigenous Community Program has offered more than 35 team members opportunities to share their skills and experience with, and listen and learn from 20 Indigenous community organisations across Australia.
Jawun is a not-for-profit that connects corporate partners with secondment opportunities in Indigenous organisations to help deliver business and community programs. In 2022, Endeavour Group became a Transform tier partner.
Our Reconciliation artwork: 'Celebration Place' by Riki Salam (Mualgal/Yalanji/Ngai Tahu)
We are deeply privileged to have Riki tell a story that is uniquely Endeavour, through a dynamic visual language and the timelessness and omniscience of the Dreaming.
The artwork Riki created for us symbolises both occasion and belonging, time and space, and the process of coming together, as well as the outcome of being one through shared experiences and knowledge.
The concept represents water and knowledge flowing throughout the country. From desert country to stone country, rainforest country. From freshwater to saltwater all water carries knowledge from upstream to downstream. This knowledge is passed down from generation to generation to keep Culture strong.
Born and raised in Cairns on Yidindji land, Riki has connections to Muralag, Kala Lagaw Ya, Meriam Mer, Kuku Yalanji peoples on his father’s side, and the Ngai Tahu people in the South Island of New Zealand on his mother’s side.
Riki is an accomplished artist and graphic designer with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in contemporary Indigenous art, design and communications.
Educated in Cairns and Brisbane, Riki has worked on high profile projects across corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors in Australia and internationally. Prior to founding We Are 27 Creative, Riki worked as Creative Director in two of Australia’s leading Indigenous design agencies.
Diversity and inclusion
Our people are the most important part of our business. They are the creators of our products, the minds behind our innovations, and the faces our customers see in our stores, hotels and wineries each day. That’s why it’s so important our teams are well-trained and connected, with each person feeling supported, empowered to be themselves, and engaged in what they do.

Safety and wellbeing
The health and safety of our team, customers and community is, and always will be, our first priority.
We continue to build our health and safety culture, working on minimising risks and hazards, and providing best care and response support, while always looking for ways we can improve.
Here are just some of the ways we support the wellbeing of our team:
Respecting and promoting human rights in our operations and supply chain
Our commitment to respect and responsibility extends beyond our own people, throughout our operations and into our extended, geographically diverse supply chain.
We’re building clear, effective sourcing programs, and working collaboratively with our supply partners to uphold leading standards in areas of responsibility, sustainability and human rights. A key part of this commitment is identifying, assessing and addressing human rights risks in our own operations and supply chain, which we report against in our annual Modern Slavery Statement.
Because we rely on the sustainability and integrity of all our suppliers, we're focused on building open and transparent relationships based on trust and communication. Through our Supplier Forums and quarterly supplier magazine, distilled, we share corporate news and industry challenges, as well as category and format insights. Our Voice of Supplier surveys assess our performance and provide our trade partners an opportunity to provide feedback, which we use to make improvements and changes.
Privacy and cyber security
Responsibly safeguarding the security, integrity and privacy of data is central to building and maintaining trust with our customers and team.
We are committed to building team awareness and capability around data privacy, data protection and cyber security. We continually review our privacy and data processes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes.
