Dan Murphy’s granted conditional liquor store licence for Dunreath Village Shopping Centre

Australia’s leading drinks retailer Dan Murphy’s has been given a conditional liquor store licence to open at the Dunreath Village Shopping Centre located within the Airport West precinct.

The large-format, destination store will provide a unique mix of different services and facilities focussed on the best range, best customer service and Dan Murphy’s famous lowest liquor price guarantee. 

‍

Managing Director Agi Pfeiffer Smith said the store would be designed to meet customer needs as well as inspire and excite customers. 

‍

“To be situated at the Dunreath Village Shopping Centre within the Airport West precinct is a fantastic opportunity,” Ms Pfeiffer Smith said. 

‍

“Once completed, the store will have all the things that customers know and love about Dan Murphy’s that will help them in their drinks discovery journey.” 

‍

Inside, the store will include specialist product precincts including a wine precinct, a whisky precinct, a central “Magic Moments” area for wine and spirit tastings, A Merchant’s Corner with recommendations from the store’s resident fine wine expert as well as on-demand microclasses hosted by in-store experts. 

‍

It will also feature a speciality aged wine display, and a dedicated “local heroes” section which will showcase a selection of local products from local suppliers. 

‍

As part of the conditional liquor licence, the store is permitted to trade from 8am until 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am until 10pm on Sunday.

‍

The Airport West precinct store would service a range of customers including local residents, travellers, workers and those who travel to the nearby shopping outlets. 

‍

There will also be dedicated online ordering pick-up parking bays to make it easier for customers to get what they need. 

‍

Perth Airport’s Chief Property Officer Dan Sweet said that Perth Airport has worked to develop a high-profile retail experience within Airport West. 

‍

“We look forward to working with the highly recognisable Dan Murphy brand which will add to the profile of the Airport West retail, commercial and office precinct.”

Store construction is scheduled to begin next year.
