In a world where sequins reign supreme, fragments of light are harnessed by an effervescent array of glitter and the colours of the rainbow are unveiled in full regalia, love and harmony come together for a nationwide takeover bringing everyone along for the ride.

Officially it’s a two-week event, but unofficially it’s a season, where one’s outer and inner fabulousness comes alive no matter who you are or where you come from.

Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras events attract thousands of people from across the globe, celebrating all LGBTQ+ individuals, espousing freedom, harmony and connection bolstered by the support of their allies.

It also shines a light on some of the issues faced by LGBTQ+ people and presents practical ways to help those who need it most.

This year Endeavour Group’s have partnered with Squealing pig, Little Creatures and Absolut where each $1 from every product sold across their range in March will be donated to the Pride Foundation Australia (PFA).

Endeavour Group’s Proud Committee Co-Chair Robyn Stevens said it’s a practical way to live our values of inclusion while ensuring our participation in Mardi Gras adjacent events and initiatives have real meaning for the LGBTQ+ community.

“Endeavour Group is thrilled and privileged to partner with some of our iconic brands in such a meaningful way, and contribute to the important work of PFA,” she said.

“Remaining centred on impact to the LGBTQ+ community ensures our initiatives are not simply rainbow washing; we are here to celebrate all the fabulousness of the LGBTQ+ community this Mardi Gras, but we are also here to meaningfully contribute to an organisation leading important and critical work in our community.”

PFA and its allied communities are specifically focused on funding LGBTQIA+ community issues in Australia.and work to increase philanthropic support through fundraising, grant giving, collaboration and commissioning projects.

The donation will be used to fund PFA programs that assist vulnerable LGBTQ+ who are refugees, those facing issues of mental health and homelessness as well as those experiencing a level of disability.

Endeavour Group will contribute up to $200,000 which includes contributions from Little Creatures, Absolut and Squealing Pig to provide much-needed funds to vulnerable members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
