Papa Salt Coastal Gin, founded by Australian-born Actor and Film Producer Margot Robbie and four of her closest friends, is now available in 265 Dan Murphy’s stores, giving fans far and wide a chance to sample the spirit.

‍

Committed to local and sustainable practices, Papa Salt is produced in Byron Bay at the Lord Byron Distillery, a zero-waste, 100% renewable energy facility.

‍

Dan Murphy’s Head of Spirits Sarah Hall said she was delighted to see the hotly-anticipated gin arrive in Australia’s leading liquor retailer.

‍

“We know fans have been clamouring for Papa Salt since May, and now they can find it on Dan Murphy’s shelves right across the country. We’re thrilled Margot and the founders decided to distil and launch Papa Salt in Australia, and that we can support getting this delicious Aussie-made product into more glasses around Australia this summer,” Hall said.

Years in the making, founders Margot Robbie, Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, Regan Riskas Maas and Charlie Maas, had a vision to create a gin made for sharing, inspired by the simple pleasure of chance encounters and impromptu gatherings.

“Five years and 59 recipes later we are so thrilled to finally share Papa Salt with the world,” said Ackerley.

“It was really important to me to distil and launch Papa Salt in Australia, and to capture the feeling that comes naturally right here at home. The result is an easy-drinking delicious gin in a beautiful bottle that makes a mean martini, an incredible G&T and is brilliant with just soda,” Robbie added.

Papa Salt Coastal Gin is an easy-drinking gin that celebrates the subtle taste of native Australian botanicals. Flavours are brightened with a zesty wax flower, hibiscus and citrus peel - all wrapped up with hints of nutty wattleseed, the mild spice of pink peppercorn and an unmistakable minerality from a hint of oyster shell.
