One of Perth’s favourite pubs, The Saint, has reopened after an extensive $3 million renovation and upgrade.

Harking back to its 1950s heritage, the reimagined venue has also returned to its original name, The Morris, continuing its half-a-century tradition as a place for mates to meet for drinks over the game, families to gather for a relaxed meal and friends celebrating cocktail hour with their favourite drop.

Long-time locals and first-time visitors alike can now be welcomed through the doors and are invited to experience a place where good food and good times melt together in a way that is uniquely Perth.

The new-look venue holds a crowd of 1,500 within four designated spaces, each with their own personality.

The Hall is the perfect location for food lovers and social seekers looking to connect with others over quality food.

ALH WA Executive Chef Wendy Miedzinski says the new-look menu features a delectable selection of elevated pub classics using fresh ingredients from local suppliers.

“The food scene in WA is a vibrant and buzzing culinary experience that is solidifying itself as one of the best in the country and that is something we wanted to capitalise on,” she said.

“The focus on simplicity really lets the quality of local produce shine through.

“All these elements come together to give our guests quality food that is distinctive and delicious.

"Our beef is predominantly sourced from Dardanup in the South West with bespoke sausages, crafted specifically for our Banger Rolls and classic Bangers & Mash dishes.”

The venue's use of local seafood has also been a standout offering, proving to be popular with guests.

“We use swordfish from Rottnest Island, which is known for its firm texture and mild flavour and has been a crowd favourite,” Wendy said.

“Our Shark Bay scallops are well known for their sweetness and delicate taste which has been a perfect option for our ceviche dish.

“Our lobsters are sourced from Geraldton and our Snapper hails from Exmouth, which is celebrated for its versatility and light, flaky flesh. This makes it a natural choice to feature in the Fish n' Chips alongside the local brew Eagle Bay Kolsch as the star of the batter.”

These high-quality, locally sourced ingredients have allowed The Morris to create dishes that are not only fresh and adventurous but also offer our guests an authentic taste of Western Australia's natural bounty.

With 24 taps to choose from, The Front Bar is the only choice for a post-work unwind with mates. Here, the game is always on so you won’t miss a minute of the action, the beer is ice cold and you’ll always be greeted with a smile.

There’s nothing like Perth in the Summer, and this is where The Patio will really shine.

Effortlessly and endlessly slinging drinks and bites as the sun sets, it’s where you want to be for perfect vibes to Perth’s seemingly never-ending balmy summer evenings.

There’s a huge selection of artisan spirits to choose from, all sourced from local suppliers and a brand-new cocktail offering – a low-calorie margarita, ideal for a cheeky mid-week summer catch-up.

And in a new exciting addition to the pub we all know and love, The Terrace is a family friendly space where mums and dads can kick back and relax over a delicious meal while the little ones explore and delight in the brand new outdoor playground.

At The Morris, the kids’ menu will satisfy even the fussiest eaters, with a choice of a hot favourite served together with healthy sides on a sustainable bento plate.

Kids will delight in the variety of their meal and the snack-type sides giving the freedom to continue eating at their own pace after they have polished off their hot main.

The Morris is the latest project by ALH Hotels, Australia’s most loved hospitality group behind some of Perth’s favourite institutions like the Queens Hotel (Highgate), Freo’s Sail and Anchor and the Como Hotel.
